Job Description

Do you like the idea of getting to work on highways and a wide variety of different civil engineering projects Do you want to be part of a team delivering local projects Do you enjoy seeing projects from inception through to completion This could be theperfect role for you!The JobWe are looking for two Senior Project Engineers to join our Major Projects and Improvements Team.Key areas of responsibility will include: -

  • To design and manage the delivery of highway and civil engineering projects to achieve quality, programme and financial targets.
  • To provide specialist design, technical and costs to help with the delivery of projects.
  • To manage the evaluation and authorisation of engineering schemes ensuring highway network asset meets design specification and safety standards.
  • To collaborate with Vias Operation division to achieve company business plan objectives
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems, processes, and requirements.
  • To manage consultation, communication, and liaison with clients
  • To act as an ambassador for individual schemes and the company at events.
The PersonMainly you will be excited to be a vital part of our engineering projects, but there are just a few other things wed like from you: -
  • A Civil Engineering degree or a related subject and relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience.
  • Strong ICT skills and competence in specialist computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of current highway design and civil engineering standard, contracts, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation and good practice appropriate to the role
  • Experience of providing information, communicating, and working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience of budgeting projects, reporting finance and end-to-end project implementation.
  • A high level of personal drive, commitment to delivery of excellent customer care.
