Job Description

Our client is a small family run business with a turnover of around 1.5 million. Due to the retirement of their current accountant the Directors are seeking to recruit an experienced finance person who is happy to do a hands-on role handling all aspectsof the companies accounts. Hours around 21-25.Role will cover:

  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records for the company
  • Nominal, Purchase and Sales Ledger, Stock
  • Cash Book
  • Bank - control and monitoring of online accounts including foreign currency accounts
  • Monthly reconciliations with accruals and prepayments
  • Monthly Supplier Payments
  • Quarterly Reporting to Directors
  • Credit Control
  • Cash Flow Management and Forecasting
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory year-end accounts to an agreed timetable.
  • Liaising with accountants.
  • Assisting with monthly payroll - PAYE, Pension, HMRC
  • Support with General Office Administration
