QA ManagerMy client based in Cleckheaton have an exciting opportunity for a QA Manager to join the QA Team.To head up the Quality Assurance function and management of the Quality Team; to ensure the Food Safety and Legality of Products manufactured.Your key responsibilities will include:• Make sure whether all the legal standards are met and review thoroughly the existing policies and standards;• Deal with incidents, withdrawals and recalls where required. • Ensure compliance against Policies; Support the clients Star audit • Management of the day to day QA function and QA Team, including Holidays, sickness, and any management duties as required. • To establish and maintain the company HACCP Plan, supporting the TM as required • To issue Quality Attribute Sheets to the factory and maintain and update the files within the factory.• To obtain and prepare product samples for Finished Product Evaluation. • Manage the sampling program, including nutritional sampling, chemical analysis, shelf life, etc.• Conduct monthly BMPA Trace exercises.• Support or Lead as applicable all 3rd Party audits – BRC, Red Tractor and BMPA; • To check all due diligence documentation to ensure effective product traceability and to maintain these records for easy retrieval.What my client is looking for• Undergraduate on a science related subject or equivalent experience in the food industry • Minimum HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 • Internal Auditor qualified • Experience in High Care environment desirable • Root Cause Analysis experience • Excellent communication skills• Strong multi-tasking skills• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standardsWhats in it for youMy client is a rapidly growing and exciting business, dedicated to the development of their colleagues and committed to creating a great environment for people to come and work.
