Are you looking for your next Shunter role If so, read on!We are currently looking for individuals to join us as a Shunter on a full time, permanent basis, based at our Corby Hunters Point site, across MondayFriday 2pm - 10pm. In return, you will be provided with a competitive salary of between £21,000 - £23,000 depending upon experiance.As our Shunter, your role will involve moving trailers on/off the loading bay, parking empty and full trailers in the yard, and assisting in the loading of trailers. This role will also ensure safety in the yard. You will be confident indriving a shunting tug and trained to operate machinery within the despatch department. Full flexibility is required to help cover things such as holidays.The key responsibilities of our Shunter include:- Communicating with warehouse staff verbally and by radio- Yard marshalling- Managing trailers- Undertaking the basic upkeep of the shunt vehicle- Checking lights, tyres and insides of trailers before being used- Placing trailers in the required areas as per instructions from the warehouse teams- Ensuring all necessary safety checks are carried out and reporting any defects, accidental damage or incidents as soon as they are discovered- Preserving vehicle parking area layouts and reporting debris or potential hazards- Continuously working in line with Health & Safety legislation- Carrying out any other reasonable requests and supporting colleagues when required, with a can-do attitude- Tipping/loading vehicles- Undertaking warehouse dutiesWhat we need from you as our Shunter: - MHE licence (VNA, Reach Truck, PPT, Counterbalance)- A valid CAT C+E licence- A valid and in date DQC plus Digi tacho card- Shunting experience, preferably using a Terberg unit- A punctual and organized individual- The ability to remain professional and courteous in all communications- Warehouse experience- An enthusiastic and self-driven individualWhat you will get in return as our ShunterIn retrun our Shunter,will receive access to a variety of our excellent benefits packages which include, cycle to work scheme, 25% ASOS discount code (after 6 months).
