We operate from multiple UK locations and our new flagship operation in the Czech Republic and supply our customers with end to end supply chain solutions including freight forwarding, contract logistics, value added services and UK distribution.Our people are at the core of our business, that’s why we provide significant opportunities for your career progression and personal development.Key responsibilities as our Health & Safety Advisor will include: - Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture- Being the subject matter expert to all stakeholders on both sites- Ensuring that effective risk assessment processes are in place for all the sites activities, including general risk assessments, COSHH, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, and other statutory requirements- Investigating accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and ensuring the implementation of effective corrective action- Being responsible for the maintenance and compliance of Health Safety & Environment systems and procedures throughout the site- Managing the EHS inspection process and provide purposeful feedback to internal and external stakeholders- Being responsible for input on training plans working closely with training departments regarding all EHStraining, MHE training and of Standard Operating Procedures (inc incorporation of SSWs- Ensuring training targets and actions are achieved at all times- Maintaining appropriate documents and records to demonstrate compliance with all statutory requirements- Undertaking any other duties which may be required to assist the needs of the business as directed by management- Assisting with the company H&S strategy and help drive H&S focusesWhat we are looking for in our ideal Health & Safety Advisor:Essential- A minimum of two years prior experience of working in Health & Safety in a similar environment- NEBOSH General Cert as a minimumPreferred- IOSH membership- Experience of delivering safety related training courses.Skills/Attributes- Excellent communication skills at all levels- Ability to engage staff whilst upholding policies- Good problem solver – pragmatic approach and hands on when necessary- Pro-active with excellent organisational ability- Ability to identify root causes and resource permanent solutions- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team- Flexible approach to achieving deadlines- Approachable manner- Leadership and Values- Assist with the company H&S strategy and help drive H&S focusesIf you have the skills and experience required to become our Health & Safety Advisor, we would love to hear from you!
