Are you a highly organised individual with experience in Health & SafetyWe currently have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join us on a full time, permanent basis, based at our site in Corby, and in return, we can offer a competitive salary, alongside career progression and a generous benefits package!Key responsibilities as our Health and Safety Advisor will include:- Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture throughout, encouraging and setting best-practice examples to people across all levels of the business- Ensuring that personal knowledge of Health and Safety and best practice is continually updatedBeing the subject matter expert to all stakeholders on both sites- Ensuring that effective risk assessment processes are in place for all the sites activities, including general risk assessments, COSHH, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, and other statutory requirements- Investigating accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and ensuring the implementation of effective corrective action- Being responsible for the maintenance and compliance of Health Safety & Environment systems and procedures throughout the site- Managing the EHS inspection process and provide purposeful feedback to internal and external stakeholders- Undertaking health and safety audits in accordance with departmental protocols and contract requirements- Being responsible for input on training plans, working closely with training departments regarding all EHStraining, MHE training and Standard Operating Procedures- Ensuring training targets and actions are achieved at all times- Maintaining appropriate documents and records to demonstrate compliance with all statutory requirements- Undertaking any other duties which may be required to assist the needs of the business as directed by management- Assisting with the company H&S strategy and help drive H&S focusesSkills and experience required to become our Health and Safety Advisor include:- A minimum of two years prior experience of working in Health & Safety in a similar environment- NEBOSH General Cert as a minimum- Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate both written and verbally- A ‘Can-do attitude with the ability to drive, motivate and support the site to achieve your best performance overall- The ability to work in a fast-paced, adaptable environment- Proven ability with engaging staff whilst upholding policies- A good problem solver – pragmatic approach and hands-on when necessary- Pro-active with excellent organisational ability- The ability to identify root causes and resource permanent solutions- The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team- A flexible approach to achieving deadlines- An approachable mannerAdvanced Supply Chain Group offer a complete end to end supply chain service, from source to shelf, covering all aspects of supply chain management, global logistics, fulfilment and value-added services, allowing our customers to maximise the opportunities that exist in today’s technology-enabled marketplace.
