An amazing opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant who is looking for a part time, flexible role for the new year. Based in Wedmore, this fantastic school is an independent co - educational special school for pupils who have complex education, social, emotional and mental health needs.We work with students who have encountered challenges in mainstream, pupil referral units and other special school settings. Many of our students have experienced failure in multiple educational settings. That is why we do things a little differently.Our approach encompasses a relational and non-coercive philosophy for teaching and learning. This philosophy focuses on building trust and systematically removing the barriers that pupils have previously encountered in their learning journeys.The school has 4 education learning bases located in Somerset, this particular role will be based in Wedmore. With the school being in a remote location, it is essential that you drive or will be able to commute to ensure you will be punctual.Your role will involve offering 1:1 support to students at primary level, you will be helping with their reading and writing as well as helping the class teacher to plan lessons and activities that are engaging and accessible for their need.The role will be part time, working Tuesday’s and Fridays, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.Working with Long-term Teachers:We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.LTT was founded with the aim of creating a genuine, transparent and straightforward service to help candidates secure their next role.
