Job Description

My client, a successful B2C business based in Liverpool is recruiting an experienced Merchandiser to join their dynamic, forward thinking Buying & Merchandising team. Applicants must have a strong Merchandising background preferably within a consumer product or retail environment.. If this is your background, then please get in touch!Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyer
  • Forecasting of sales, profit and margin, using WSSI documents
  • Optimising sales volume and profitability of appropriate product areas
  • Liaising with key suppliers and retail customers, building key relationships
  • Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges
  • Controlling stock levels based on seasonal forecasts and budgets
  • Analysis of best and worst sellers - identifying the best/worst selling price points
  • Liaison with suppliers in order to manage the distribution of stock and any other issues that may arise
  • Identifying production and supply issues and dealing with them as and when they occur
  • Able to work with clients and various client portal such as EDI
  • Using critical paths and working with different depts such as QA, Graphics to ensure clients orders are as per request
  • Dealing with shipping lines and container planning for warehouse
    • Skills Required:Successful candidates must have similar Merchandising experience, working in a retail / consumer product sector (essential) & Importing/exporting experienceEducated to A’ Level / Degree levelMust have experience of working with retailersAble to think commercially and have the ability to work independentlyProficient in Microsoft office (word, excel & power point)Flexible and able to work across several product categoriesMust have excellent communication skillsCompany Benefits:Salary up to £31k (Depending on experience)Hours 8.30am-5pm Monday - Friday, can be flexibleWorking from home 1 day per week (flexible)Pension20 days holiday + bank holidaysCar Park Required skills
