Due to continued growth, my client based in Liverpool is looking to recruit an experienced Import Merchandiser to join their Merchandise team working across multiple product ranges.You will be working alongside Merchandising Manager across specific retail accounts. Responsible for taking the products from initial concept right through to delivery. The main purposes being to deliver the product at the right price and at the right time,working closely with suppliers in the Far East and other internal departments.Key Responsibilities:Raise, manage and track purchase orders and amend where necessary.Create and manage the Critical Path to ensure agreed delivery dates are maintained.Liaising with factories based overseas on a day to day basis, ensuring samples, artwork etc. are received according to CPResponsible for the timely delivery of all samples and submissions to customers.Advising and approving all labelling / packaging / testing information following customer manuals.Liaising with customers, responding promptly to communications to ensure all needs are met.Arrange Bulk Test Reports with Factories and vendors.Manage High street accounts and build strong relationships with retail customers and suppliers.Other administrative duties as and when required.Skills Required:Must have extensive experience working in a similar merchandising position from an import merchandising or wholesale background is preferenceA good understanding of import merchandising and managing critical path is essentialExperience of working with high street retailers is desirableCompetent user of Microsoft OfficeConscientious and self-motivated and must be able to work within a team and on own initiative, with minimal supervisionLooking for a candidate who is happy to roll up their sleeves and do what is required to achieve results.Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills as will be dealing with Far East factories on a daily basis.A team player who can handle a busy workloadSalary up to £30k, negotiable, depending on experienceHours 8.30am-5pm office based (may be flexible after probation period)20 days holiday + bank holidaysPensionSociable working environmentTraining and development
