Serve Talent have partnered with a successful Engineering business to recruit a RD Firmware Engineer for their manufacturing facility based in Watton, Norfolk.£40,000 per year.Reporting To: The R&D ManagerThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take a leading role in the development of industry leading firmware and embedded design.Working within a small, friendly, and close-knit team you will be recognized as an expert and be surrounded by a flexible and likeminded team working on new and interesting industrial electrical heating products.This role offers a great deal of creative freedom as you will be the principal architect of all firmware and software within the department. There will also be an opportunity for electronic circuit design if this interests you.Under the direction of the department technical lead, you will spend most of your time developing firmware for a range of electrical heater products. There will also be an increasing amount of software development required as the product lines and theircapabilities increase.To manage a range of research and development projects to cover both new products and updating existing designs.To architect and produce new firmware and be responsible for their development, debug and testing.To be responsible for developing test coverage requirements whilst assisting with the production team developing the production test software.To ensure that goals and objectives of the department are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.Duties/Responsibilities:
