Location:- Nottingham - NG16 1HBWe are currently recruiting Engineering Team Leader Electrically biased to join our global food manufacturing site; due to internal progression to join the team at our site in Nottingham.The Role:The role of the engineering team leader is to be the figurehead of the engineering shift team reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. They will be responsible for the day to day running of their shift and be actively involved in projects giving greaterreliability to the plants. The ETL will have a hands on approach, a continuous improvement attitude and have the ability to deal with any eventuality by making on the spot decisions.Key Accountabilities:To be a key member of the Engineering function, providing support to all other functions Delegation of work and ensuring completion of written reports on maintenance work carried out and identify future work.To ensure the best possible resolve is achieved to those issues experienced, in order to meet the reliability requirements of the Bakery production schedules. To be part of a team providing essential maintenance operations, whilst maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards, abiding to GMP and food handling hygiene standards in order to provide maximum manufacturing efficiency at the Nottingham site.The ETL is the on the ground "general", they possess the skills to handle any issues arising during the 24/7 operation of the factory. They are the face of the engineering department and conduct themselves accordingly, building relationships between operations,technical services and any contractors, promoting this ethic through the engineering teams. Ultimately providing a world class service to the customer "production" H&S and Quality driver by adhering to relevant legislative Regulations and Hovis Ltd policies, procedures and guidelines.Liaise with Production FLM, SO, Maintenance Manager throughout the duty shift and comply to work priorities Provide support to visiting contractors where requested, adhering to the approved contractor process Work to Current Good Manufacturing Practices at all times Carry out best practice throughout scope of engineering activities Conduct effective Planned Preventive Maintenance tasks and generate satisfactory reports May be required to carry out duties within the production area, where relevant training must be undertaken Be adaptable and flexible to suit the business requirements To develop themselves and their team to a professional standard, and achieve a sound technical understanding of the site processShift coverage as and when requiredIdeal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities:2 years Proven engineering experience Experience on food manufacturing equipment Have reasonable fitness GSCE Grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent. Have completed a Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship ONC / NVQ III / C&G 2&3 certificates 17th Edition IEE wiring regulation pass Challenge-trg Recruitment Ltd is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
