Job Description

Wath Group Ltd is a well-established, highly reputable and certified family run business. Established in 1980 as one of the first companies to offer jet-wash hoses into the UK market. Thanks to the dedication of its team and its commitment to evolve with the market, the company has diversified into other industries, not limited to electrical panel & harness design, hazardous equipment design & manufacture, subcontract CNC manufacture and inspection. Today, Wath Group is recognised as one of the leading providers of sub-contract solutions whilst maintaining its roots within the jet-wash market.Wath Group are currently seeking an electrical engineer on a full-time basis to work in a small and busy team.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The advanced prototyping and development of products and projects.
  • Working with technical staff to utilize design elements that directly add value to prototyping methods, providing innovative ideas where applicable.
  • Performing a variety of engineering functions associated with R&D process development and proving concepts with real end products.
  • Hands on product development, modelling and reporting of results.
  • Statistical analysis, quality control, using tools such as flow-charting, design and drafting support and document control.
  • Critical thinking, able to determine appropriate engineering methods, techniques, and procedures for new assignments.
  • Soldering & PCB assembly.
  • Electrical panel design, assembly and testing.
  • Assemble, disassemble, fault find, repair and reassemble of Electro-Mechanical equipment.
  • Preparation of complete and timely documentation, including updating work order status.
  • Carrying out assembly tasks to the specific quality and build time standards.
  • Operating test procedure equipment.
  • You must be self-motivated. As work is often unsupervised and covers multiple responsibilities there is a need to schedule, prioritise and pick up work as necessary.
    • Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Degree level or equivalent in an appropriate field is essential.
  • Confidence with 3D CAD Packages - Fusion 360 & AutoCADInventor’.
  • Understanding of PLC programming and operation would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of C’, C++’ and Python’ would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Fork Truck Licence would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of manufacturing production procedures and safe use of machinery.
  • Adherence to health, safety & environmental rules.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
