Job Description

Assistant Financial ControllerWe are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller in a growing Construction and Civil Engineering company to be part of our great team.You must have knowledge of accounting principles, be reliable, organised, have a good eye for detail and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.The goal is to contribute to keeping the accounting and finance processes of the company up to a high standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. You will report to the Financial Controller.Responsibilities

  • Supporting most aspects of accounting management.
  • Involvement in the billing process.
  • Assisting with internal controls and establishing best practices.
  • To support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Manage data, make ready and input to the accounting software.
  • Aiding with the preparation of budgets and forecasts and handling debt management.
  • Organising and inputting job/project costing data.
  • Communicate at all levels.
  • Able to process timesheet data.
  • Requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Practices and Procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Full understanding of “Cash Flow Forecasting”.
  • Experience of SAGE software
  • Well organised and be able to prioritise.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Salary.Salary on application but negotiable and will be determined based on both ability and experience.
