Job Description

Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - HealthHours; Full time (37hrs per week, all year round)Duration; PermanentSalary; Up to £30,501 per annum (dependant on qualification & experience) + benefitsLocation; Cross College, Rotherham and Worksop (with subsidised travel where applicable and hybrid working)The RoleIf you have experience of planning, delivering and assessing in Health Qualifications & Standards then this is the role for you.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team helping to develop the next generation of adult care professionals. Use your knowledge, skills and experience to create a brighter future for these enthusiastic learners.The rewarding position involves teaching & coaching learners who need varied assessments and assignments to be carried out on the Level 3, 4 and 5 Health programmes in order to pass their end point assessment.This role involves regular use of e-portfolios & carrying out on-site performance reviews, teaching and assessments to ensure the next generation of health care professionals are the very best. Using your excellent IT skills, you will maintain accurate recordsof student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios.You will need to be able to build good relationships, manage a caseload of apprentices and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and organisations.The RNN Group is the first education provider to operate out of the new The Bridge Skills Hub in April 2022, in Worksop Town Centre. The state-of-the-art Skills and Education Hub aims to give Bassetlaw residents a better future and will address skills shortagesin the area so that current and future employer needs can be met across a range of sectors.You will…be a confident tutor who can teach and engage with a wide variety of learners and bring the subject matter to life in a creative and engaging way. You will also need to hold:

  • Experience in creating and delivering programmes within the Health sector.
  • An Assessor Award
  • Be a highly qualified individual within the Health sector and have current experience working within adult care and healthcare at managerial level
  • A teaching qualification
  • An IQA qualification is desirable
  • Excellent IT skills
  • English and maths at level 2
Department InfoAs part of the department of Work based Learning you will report directly to theCurriculum Team Leader/Curriculum Manager. You will play an active role in thecurriculum team, working with key stakeholders such as Curriculum Team Leaders,Curriculum Manager, and Curriculum Lecturers etc.You will also build good working relationships with other key stakeholders inapprenticeship programmes such as the Functional Skills Team and will be able to adopta flexible and proactive approach to supporting learners undertaking qualifications in theworkplace.Our excellent benefits and rewards package:
