Job Description

Network Manager with Cloud Azure knowledge required.Location - Watford - 1 day on site and 4 remote.£55K + Pension + Car allowanceRole Summary:The Network Managers role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and support of the clients network systems.This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all new and existing network hardware, network related software, and communication links.The Network Manager will work directly with the Operations team and External support partners to provision new network services and sites, and to resolve network related problems in a timely and accurate fashion. They will provide escalated problem resolutionby giving in person, hands on support when necessary.

  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and maintain current knowledge of plan executables. Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make sure certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate users.
  • Develop and deploy methodologies for testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain data center and server room assets
  • Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and so on.
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
  • Experience installing network cabling and patching telephony systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
