Job Description

Advanced Nurse PractitionerWatford£42,500 - £51,500Advanced Nurse Practitioner required for this charity owned hospice in Watford.You will be responsible for the clinical leadership on the designated palliative/end of life small Inpatient Unit in WatfordThis is a full time role 37.5 hours per week - 3 days with the medical team and 2 days nursing shiftsTypical Duties:

  • work as a clinically independent and autonomous practitioner
  • lead autonomously on nurse-led admissions and discharges to ensure a responsive and co-ordinated approach to delivering the most effective and safe use of the Inpatient Unit beds* utilise both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions and onward referrals* act as a source of expertise and knowledge for palliative/end of life care patients* carry out holistic patient assessments and implement and evaluate the best course of action
You will play a key role working in the Inpatient multi-disciplinary team, delivering the highest quality of personalised holistic palliative and end of life care for patients and their families.A fantastic opportunity for an ANP to be clinical and managerialCriteria:
  • RGN/ RN with a degree (Master in ANP)
  • Non-medical prescriber
  • Experienced in palliative/ end of life care
  • Experience at a senior level to manage and lead a team
