Accounts Receivable Lead

Job Description

Accounts Receivable Lead is needed to support the Wunderman Thompson Commerce Finance team. It is a full-time role, 5 days and 37.5 hours per week.Main Responsibilities

  • Provides immediate supervision to 1 Accounts Receivable Assistant, assigning tasks and directs on a course of action based on knowledge of established policies and procedures
  • Manage and contribute to sales invoice process:
    • Ensure sales invoices to clients are raised correctly into accounting system.
    • Credit notes as required.
    • Filing of all sales ledger paperwork and associated reporting.
  • Manage credit control process including:
    • Credit control and report weekly debt report to management.
    • ICFR (formally SOX) reporting
    • Cartesis reporting.
  • Support Supplier set up.
  • Allocation of bank receipts and direct debit payments
  • Reporting to support revenue recognition and account execs.
  • Support Audit and ICFR reporting.
  • Support month end process including journaling.
  • Support process improvements and look to better ways of working.
  • Ad hoc duties and support to team.

  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Experienced in sales ledger and credit control
  • Proficient in use of IT systems, Accounting systems and Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels and build good relationships, both internally and externally, whilst maintaining professionalism, control and integrity
  • Some experience of the IT Services Industry would be an advantage, but not essential

  • Problem-solving- understand and assess the situations and develop an effective plan to tackle those
  • Mentorship- Coaching team members, and taking on the responsibility of the performance of your direct reports. Understand their potential and act accordingly to push them to achieve their best.
