Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Manual Lathe/Borer with Screw Cutting experience to support our client based in the Washington areaThis is a Permanent Position, working Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:00 & Friday 07:30-13:00, Offering a competitive basic salary £14per hour (£27k per annum) plus Overtime & Company Benefits.Company Benefits Include:

Our client has some of the largest machining and lifting capacity in the UK which allows them to support their customers needs for large scale parts handling.The company are continuing to invest in personnel, equipment, and facilities to meet the demands of their customers and third-party specifications. Their manufacturing team are a highly skilled workforce who are adept at working with precision machinery,to provide a high-quality service to their customers.Responsibilities & Duties
  • Meeting the needs of customers, ensuring that each product or service is delivered cost-effectively, speedily and to the highest quality.
  • Fulfilling own responsibilities within the current Health and Safety and Employment Law.
  • Provide support to all members of staff to aid in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with your Team Leader or Manager to resolve any persistent or unresolved problems encountered.
  • Report immediately to your Manager with any Health & Safety regulations which you think may be potentially breached.
  • Set a good example when supporting management and implementing change.
  • Provide any feedback with your views, ideas, improvements, and concerns to the Management Team.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experienced Engineer/Machinist with a proven track record in the relevant industry equipment with experience.
  • Experienced in manual Lathe machining/Horizontal or Vertical Tube boring operations.
  • Experienced in Screw Cutting.
  • Set up tubes with OD up to 900mm and lengths of 6000mm
  • The ability to read and work to engineering drawings.
  • Identifying and selecting correct tooling for the jobs.
  • Working within a multi skilled team producing highly technical components to strict industry quality standards and accreditations.
  • Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to tasks.
  • Adhere to all QHSE practices.
