Job Description

Blair West is supporting Magna Exteriors Sunderland with the appointment of an Assistant Plant Controller, you would report into the Plant Controller, working within the finance team, you will assist with reporting and forecasting plant financial performanceon a monthly basis. The opportunity:

  • Assist with the reporting of the actual plant financial performance on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the forecasting of the plant financial performance on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the completion of the annual budget and business plans.
  • Analysis and interpretation of actual spends against budgets and KPIs to ensure control of departmental spends.
  • Complete profit and analysis to explain variances between budgeted results and actual results
  • Work with the external audit team to ensure compliance against all relevant IFRS
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the SAP system (Finance) as well as aspects of reporting and financial reconciliations as required.
  • Maintain & develop bill of material (B.O.M) to support inventory valuation
  • Support annual inventory counts
  • Provide leadership for the finance team and support the SMT in absence of FC
  • Maintain Magnas Sarbanes-Oxley Minimum Checklist Requirements (internal controls)
  • Ensure a safe working environment and excellent housekeeping standards
  • Other duties commensurate to the role
Youll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:
  • Experience working in a similar role within manufacturing, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Three years experience of a financial role.
  • Working knowledge of UK regulatory standards, including IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • A high level of experience and knowledge of Corporate governance, especially within a business based over multiple sites and locations.
  • Experience of B.O.Ms and inventory control.
  • Ability to work to meet strict deadlines and exceed under pressure.
  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualification.
  • A financial Degree/ AAT qualification.
  • Experience of working with KPIs and developing internal performance measurement tools - Both financial and nonfinancial
  • Experience of auditing processes and procedures
