Job Description

Systems EngineerSystems Engineer / Electric Systems / Systems Health / System Support / Critical Infrastructure / Computer Science / Infrastructure / Security / Regulations / Policies / Standards / 6 months / £400 - £500 per day Inside IR35 / On SiteOne of our leading clients is looking to recruit a Systems Engineer to be part of the team providing 24x7 system health & proactive monitoring of the CNI (Critical National Infrastructure) services, this will cover applications, middleware, database, operatingsystem, server infrastructures.Location - On site full time WarwickshireDuration - 6 months initial contractDay Rate - £400-£500 per day Inside IR35Essential Experience:

  • Strong background of appropriate technology (e.g., Wintel, Unix, BMC products, SCADA Telemetry).
  • Experience of supporting mission critical systems with a good knowledge of system technologies, networking, monitoring tools and processes.
  • A strong operational background with experience in analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making is required.
  • Understanding Service Management practices and processes (e.g., change and release management) and risk/issue management (e.g., ITIL processes and tools). Working with ITIL tools and processes, Data Centre Operations & Environments, IT security requirements.Wintel, Unix & monitoring tools.
  • Awareness of mechanical & electrical infrastructure within Data Centres or Building Management Systems is desirable.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably educated to degree level in Computer Science (or related subject), or with an equivalent combination of education, training (with vendor certification), and experience.
  • Relevant industry certification e.g., ITIL, Wintel, Unix, BMC is desirable.
