Programme / Project Manager Duration - 9 MonthsLocation - Warwick / Wokingham / Remote SummaryMy high-profile utilities client is looking for a Programme / Project Manager to join their team based at their Warwick offices on a hybrid basis (1-2 days a Month on site) on an initial 9-month contract with chance of extensions.My client is seeking a Senior Project/Programme Manager with substantial experience in managing multiple vendors, adeptness in networking and telephony technologies, and strong business-facing skills. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and be anintegral part of our divestment initiative.The projects include telephony and voice recording replacement for a critical business operational function, build and split of some critical infrastructure within existing on-premise data centres, deployment of IP telephony / MS Teams integration. Deliverywill be using existing, contracted deliver partners who provide delivery and technical expertise. This role will be able managing multiple vendors and meeting our obligations to them to ensure delivery success.Key Responsibilities:* Project/Programme Management: Lead and oversee the execution of multiple projects/programmes within the divestment initiative, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and timelines.* Vendor Management: Effectively manage relationships with multiple vendors, working with existing contracts, and ensure deliverables are met according to set standards.* Technology Expertise: Possess a reasonable understanding and experience with networking (mainly traditional networking on premise infrastructure) and telephony technologies to provide informed guidance and decision-making.* Business Interface: Collaborate closely with various business units, stakeholders, and senior management to understand requirements, communicate progress, and align with business objectives and constraints (e.g. planning when change happens within an operationallycritical environment).* Pressure Handling: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under high-pressure situations, prioritise tasks, and maintain quality deliverables within tight deadlines.Qualifications and Skills:* Experience: Proven track record (10+) in senior project/programme management roles with a focus on divestment or similar large-scale initiatives.* Vendor Management: Extensive experience in managing multiple vendors concurrently, understanding contracts, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.* Technology Background: Knowledge and experience with networking and telephony technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.* Business Acumen: Strong business-facing skills, ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and aligning technology solutions with business needs.* Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, pivot strategies as necessary, and maintain focus amidst ambiguity.If you have not received a response within 48 hours of applying, please assume you have not been shortlisted this time.Pontoon is an employment consultancy.
