They work on the full lifecycle from strategic planning to testing of powertrain and electrification technologies. They have got a rich history in the automotive space, working with major vehicleOEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to optimise their products.Working towards a more sustainable future, they are operating in the electrification space to advance the development of new, more sustainable technologies.The role As Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, youll be utilising state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to create, develop and prototype transmission, driveline, and actuation systems. You will be responsible for the delivery of technical workpackages and whole projects, as well as developing new methods to solve industry problems and generating market leading solutions.Responsibilities include:

Implementing technical processes to ensure projects are executed to the highest quality

Managing multi-person cross functional projects on time and to budget
Ensuring attention to detail whilst managing yourself and others to tight deadlines
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders
Taking an active role in the professional development of others within the function
Marketing the company through technical forums, conferences, and white papers

Managing challenging proposals and quotes
Adapting to the needs of a growing and developing business
Work in accordance to processes and safety requirements

The requirements Youll have at least 8 years of automotive transmission design and analysis experience. Other requirements include:

Degree level educated in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
Demonstrable background of leading design and analysis teams in the development of precision rotating components and systems
Highly competent in design and CAE analysis of rotating systems

An understanding of market trends and challenges
Strong technical reputation and relationship with customers and suppliers
Able to mentor others in their technical development
Successfully managed large, multi-person and multi-discipline projects
Expert in key software packages (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, Catia)

Strong problem-solving skills with a positive approach
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Knowledge of either French, German or Korean language is a huge advantage
Willing to undertake short and long haul-travel
