Job Description

Finance Business PartnerWarwick/Hybrid6 month contractWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Business Partner to take on an exciting new role with our Utilities client. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to join an established team and work closely with internal and externalstakeholders to understand best practice and influence decision making.Our client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern USin an efficient, reliable and safe manner.What youll be doing

  • Actively contributing to each business area to help drive commercial and non-financial performance related decisions.
  • Supporting the management of financial risks and the implementation & maintenance of controls
  • Supporting the long term business & financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to drive performance
  • Supporting the delivery of the relevant business areas financial response to price controls and maximise future allowances for ongoing investment in infrastructure and services
  • Support the investment appraisal process for each relevant business area, guiding decision making with insight, to ensure that all current and future investments are made in line with the business strategy and value requirements
  • Presenting the monthly results in a style suitable for both a finance and non finance audience, delivering insight and highlighting priority areas for focus, ensuring efficiencies are optimised for the longer term. Provide action plans to address issuesand ensure corrective actions are delivered on a timely basis.
What youll bring
  • The ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams throughout the relevant business area. Strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt style of financial information presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and non-financial Extensive experience in Financial analysis and investment appraisal, with track record of successful delivery. Excellentcommunication skills for financial information
  • Demonstrated Business Partner experience to act as a trusted advisor using strategic insight to deliver tangible performance improvements
  • Proactively maintaining continued professional development under relevant accountancy body or other recognised professional development
  • Strong understanding of how value is generated within a regulated business environment
