Job Description

Field Service EngineerSalary £35,000 - £40,000 (Dependant on experience)Location - Field based/working from home.Company vehicle or car allowance provided.Shift Pattern working 5 out of 7 days.Are you a service engineer or electrical maintenance engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity in an automotive setting. Metalis are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our reputable manufacturing client as a field service engineer.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake service and installation (and sometimes commissioning work), actively participating as a member of a team where appropriate, as required by their appointed manager.
  • To maintain regular liaison with their appointed manager on service activities, with special regard to matters requiring urgent attention such as impending delays and deviations, using both verbal and written communication as appropriate.
  • Liaison with the customer to build and maintain excellent client relationships ensuring that the image presented suitably represents the high standards required by the Company.
  • Identify and record equipment, process and performance improvements observed during work activities and feedback to their appointed manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and quotations.
  • To obtain or provide risk assessments and method statements for work activities.
  • To assist in the establishment of clearly defined performance/acceptance criteria to achieve prompt and efficient customer buy-off.
  • Undertake supervision of installation and service activities, including control of sub- contractors, progress monitoring and snagging.
About you
  • Must be an electrical engineer with a minimum of a level 3 qualification.
  • Must have a good understanding of PLCs siemens and Allen Bradley
  • An understanding of ABB robots would be advantageous.
  • Hold a clean full UK license.
  • A willingness to travel and stay over when needed. International travel is required.
