Job Title: Teacher of SEND/Deputy SENCOSalary: MPS-UPS (+possible TLR)£30,480 - £49,571 (+TLR)WandsworthJob Start: April 2021 or September 2021We are seeking to recruit a teacher of SEND or Deputy SENCO on behalf of a thriving mainstream school in the borough of Wandsworth. This is an outstanding school with high aspirations for their pupils. The school boasts fantastic campus-style grounds, which are extremely impressive and they are resourced with the latest technologies and equipment. This is a permanent role and there is the opportunity for a suitably experienced teacher to take on additional responsibilities as a Deputy SENCO. This role would be suitable for someone who already has experience supporting SEND pupils in a mainstream secondary school and is looking for additional responsibilities.Applications are welcomed from experienced secondary teachers and you will already posess relevant SEND qualifications, a sound knowledge base and experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs. You will be key in ensuring that pupils achieve excellent outcomes within a supportive and nurturing learning environment.The Department is extremely successful and employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative curriculum development. Ofsted reports that the care and education of those with SEND is outstanding. The school currently have approximately 60 pupils with EHCPs and cater for a wide range of needs [ASD, SLCN and SEMH being the largest groups].You will have the opportunity to teach small groups across Key Stages 3 and 4 and may also work with some Key Stage 5 students.A relevant post graduate degree and a related qualification would be desirable.The school is led by a dedicated Head Teacher and senior leadership team and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop under the guidance of the SENCO.Specific Responsibilities:
