About the team:The SLaM addictions service in Wandsworth and Richmond is part of a consortium formed with three voluntary sector providers set up to deliver comprehensive and recovery focused treatment in the Boroughs. Three multidisciplinary teams work across the consortium and have links with adult mental health services, social services and inpatient facilities. Psychology operates within these teams and will be working with a team of psychologists, assistants and trainees. The Trust addictions service also has close links with Kings College Addictions academic department.About the role:The job is to deliver psychological therapies to clients under the care of the Wandsworth and Richmond addictions services, to provide a specialist psychology service including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment. to provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate. to undertake service evaluation, audit and research.To work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor.About the location:The job is primarily based at St Johns Therapy Centre in Battersea.Due to the current COVID-19 measures, the majority of time will be spent working remotely.
