Job Description

4Recruitment Services are seeking to recruit a Admissions Officer to support our client based in Wandsworth.The post holder will work as part of the Admissions team to support and contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality service. The service encompasses telephone/e-mail/written enquiries, applications, the co-ordination of pre-entry interviews,offers, acceptances, enrolments and the associated data collection requirements. Staff work closely with academic and support staff to ensure that an accurate and responsive service is provided.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide a high quality and accurate information service to prospective and existing students, members of the public and staff, by telephone, e-mail or in person. Ensure that any visitors to the department experience a friendly and information welcome.
  • Provide the front of house reception for the College as the first point of contact for all visitors, students and staff to the College. Maintain a record of all visitors to the College, issues visitors with ID cards or temporary ID cards and lanyards.
  • Ensure that all telephone and e-mail enquiries are handled effectively, in a timely manner and directed on to the appropriate person for action.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of courses run at the College, including information on fess, course content, progression routes and student support.
  • Carry out student enrolments efficiently ensuring that fees taken are accurate, that the data entry is accurate and complies with guidelines issued by MIS. This will involve assessing each student for eligibility to study the course and also determine feesto be paid. Support in the preparation of money for daily banking in accordance with the Colleges Financial Regulations.
  • Work flexibly when required, including open days, admissions Meet the Tutor evenings and during the enrolment period, to meet the business needs.
  • Support the team with postal duties in preparing post, franking and bagging up ready for daily collection.
  • Support the team with processing applications, sending emails or letters out to applicants to invite them to attend an Admissions Meet the Tutor events and Enrolment etc.
  • Support the team with processing online enrolments, ensuring students are assessed correctly for eligibility to study the course and that fees are processed correctly.
  • Ensure records are compliant by running compliance reports to check student records are accurate and adhere to College Compliance Regulations.
  • Report accidents/incidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses promptly and take appropriate action to prevent a reoccurrence.
  • The successful candidate will also be expected to liaise with colleagues of all levels within the company on a daily basis so confidence and professionalism in both appearance and attitude are essential
  • Supporting the Colleges marketing activities at open days and promotional events. Support the Colleges main enrolment activity and key examination periods.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment including providing a high quality courteous, informative and responsive service to customers.
  • Educated to Level 3 or equivalent
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy with accurate keyboard and data inputting skills.
  • Able to use initiative, organise and prioritise.
  • Excellent oral and good written communication skills.
  • Commitment to the provision of a quality service.
  • Evidence of commitment to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
