Overview:

Benchmark Drinks is now looking to hire a full time Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. You will need to have fantastic attention to detail and be able to multi task. You will be reporting to a hands on and supportive Finance Director

Key Responsibilities:

Helping the Finance Director bring the accounting function in house

Raising purchase orders and setting up new vendors

Processing purchase invoices (matching to POs, getting invoices approved, coding invoices and allocating costs, recording within QuickBooks)

Raising sales invoices (setting up new customers, applying correct pricing, applying correct bank account details, applying correct VAT treatment, recording within QuickBooks)

Processing online banking payments and sending out remittance advice statements

Credit control

Resolving supplier and customer queries

Researching business queries

Monthly VAT returns including EC Sales List Reporting

Preparing for month end (supplier statement reconciliations, bank reconciliations, stock reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, month end journals etc)

Key Skills and Experience:Highly Desirable:

QuickBooks

Desirable:

Stock / production experience

Foreign currency experience

Interest in the wine industry
