Job Description

Manual Test AnalystOur client who are a leading software and technology company who focus on the financial services industry have an excellent opportunity for a Manual Test Analyst to join on a permanent basis. Working at their Head Office in the heart of the Surrey commuter belt this role offers both a technical challenge as well as the flexibility to ensure you have a great work life balance.The client hasbuilt a strong reputation and a market leading position in driving the digitisation of global trade. They have vast knowledge, experience, tools and a proven track record of helping their clients to make the transition and capitalise on the benefits of digitisation.Responsibilities

  • Support Test Manager to implement Test Strategy for the clients SaaS solution, including testing governance, quality assurance and reporting
  • Working with Test Manager and Development Teams to Define, create and execute manual functional and non-functional test cases
  • Working with Automation testers to explain the manual test scenarios to understand how to automate
  • Work closely with on-shore and off-shore scrum development teams to ensure Test Strategy is applied during development
    • Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working for either a software product company, SaaS company, bespoke software house or specialist software testing company
  • Experience of defining and creating both functional and non-functional test cases
  • Experience of testing systems with a web user interface, online web forms and APIs
  • An excellent understanding of defect management (workflow), test cycle planning (smoke, functional, non-functional and regression) and test progress reporting
  • Experience working within Agile development teams (Scrum and Kanban) and use of agile tools for test purposes: Jira for defect management, Zephyr for test case management
  • Experience working with Development Teams, both in-house and off-shore
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical issues (defects) clearly and concisely
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Any automation experience using Selenium an advantage
  • Fluent English - Any other languages a bonus but not essential to role
  • Team player. Comfortable working in a small company environment and “hands-on” in the sense of doing what needs to be done in a small organisation
  • ISTQB Certification Foundation Level
  • Domain Expertise – Ideally have some relevant background in at least one or more of the following areas:
  • Trade and/or Trade Finance;
  • Financial services products;
  • B2B services
  • SaaS products
