Job Description

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)Location: Grimsby DN33Job Type: Full-timeStart Date: After Feb 2024Pay: £90 to £95 per day.Reed Education is currently seeking a 1:1 teaching assistant for a child with communication difficulties and autism in Year 2 to join one of our schools located on the outskirts of Grimsby. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualsupport to the child in order to help them catch up with their age-related academic expectations.The position is for five days a week from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and the pay rate is £90 to £95 per day. The role will begin after February half term to cover a 9-month maternity.Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to a child with communication difficulties and autism.
  • Helping the child catch up with age-related academic expectations.
  • Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop and implement appropriate educational plans for the child.
  • Monitoring the childs progress and providing regular updates to teachers and parents.
  • Helping the child develop social skills and engage in group activities with their peers.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to the child as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; college degree or coursework in education is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications.
