This critical role offers the unique opportunity to significantly influence the developmentand optimization of the engineering and maintenance capabilities from inception.The appointed Head of Engineering & Projects will be responsible for establishing the engineering department, formulating and executing comprehensive strategies, maintenance plans, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. The role involvesoverseeing external engineering services while also founding an internal engineering team, expanding it to align with the companys growth objectives. This strategic position is integral to the clients expansion plans, promising a dynamic and innovative workingenvironment.Skills required for the Head of Engineering & Projects:

Either possession of a Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, with a robust background in industrial manufacturing or alternatively work experience equivalent.
Expert knowledge and experience working with heavy industrial manufacturing – ideally in metals.
Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering, with a proven track record of developing and implementing engineering processes and systems.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, capable of inspiring, developing, and motivating a high-performance team.
Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects within the manufacturing industry.
Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry standards and a commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
