Job Description

Are you experienced in Wills, Trusts, and Probate Administration You are keen to move forward in your career and feel that you would thrive in an energetic environment rather than beneath the slow ticking clock of a traditional law firm. Then come and joinour clients team in Waltham Cross.The purpose of the role is to provide legal services to clients in relation to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, estate administration and capacity issues including deputyship.The job will require someone who has a proven record of accomplishment in organising their own personal workload and responsibilities; the ability to determine priorities and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate is likely to be 3 years+PQE (or equivalent) and have experience of using multiple systems, collating and analysing data as well as exemplary administration skills.They are a forward-thinking law firm with a proven track record of delivering high quality legal services to local communities since 1986. With offices in Solihull, Wolverhampton, Manchester, and Waltham Cross, we are truly a local firm with national reach.Our operating structure takes all the administrative headache away from the lawyers and leave them to look after day to day legal matters.They are expanding their business and need individuals who are customer focused, resourceful, go getters to be the driving force behind their business ensuring that they achieve the best results possible for their clients. This role is primed for an individualwho is self-motivated and able to work equally well on their own or as part of a team.Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 dependant on experienceHours: 37.5 hours per weekProbate Executive Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Wills, advice on Trusts, capacity, Inheritance Tax
  • Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney, dealing with applications and registrations.
  • Advising with respect to Trusts and preparation of appropriate Trust Documents.
  • Advising and liaising with clients on probate matters; deputyships.
  • To work within a team to develop the department.
  • Networking and business development for contentious workflows.
  • Reviewing and managing WIP and client financing in relation to ongoing matters.
  • To achieve fees to meet monthly and year-end targets.
  • Keep files well organised and properly updated in accordance with the firms policies.
  • Compliance with Company standards and procedures.
  • Pro-active with good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • High level of attention to detail and an enquiring mind.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • The ability to understand clear and concise instructions.
  • A keen team member, with the ability to accept responsibility and work on their own initiative.
Probate Executive Requirements:
  • Strong background within private client legal services
  • Independently manage own large case load with the support of a legal team
  • Mentor a team of legal practitioners to develop, enrich and grow a team with a strong skillset
  • Advance transactions in the best interest of the client, communicating where necessary, following up on information and action accordingly to update the team
