Job Description

As well as being a progressive, exciting andfriendly company, we reward our peoples commitment and determination.We are currently looking for 2 Senior Web / Online Merchandisers to join our Online team.We have one Permanent role and one Maternity cover, the contract length is to be confirmed.The core objectives of this role are to plan and implement a digital merchandise plan across all products, maximise conversion into sales and the ensuring the web experience meets the customers highest standards. Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all new and existing product ranges are uploaded in line with critical dates for both everyday and seasonal products. All product photography, assets and content adhere to brand guidelines
  • Management and execution of the digital trading calendar for Cardfactory.co.uk. Working with buying, supply and marketing teams to plan and execute the trading activity across the website (homepage, category pages etc)
  • Define and implement a cross-sell / up-sell programme onsite
  • Work closely with partner teams to drive sales growth including design, marketing, analytics, fulfilment/supply chain, development
  • Self-starter, driven and keen to be part of a small and growing team
  • Responsible for the merchandising of all products including
  1. Descriptions, images, content and taxonomy
  2. Creating landing pages, category pages and competition pages
  3. Testing new promotions, codes and uploads
  • Optimise customer journeys through to sales, specifically:
  1. Homepage / category / product pages (onsite promotional plan)
  2. Nominate products or themes for email and marketing campaigns based on merchandising performance
  3. Review and optimisation of search results
  4. Customer reviews
  5. Work with the marketing team on visual design/content and create landing pages for campaign and SEO purposes
  6. Work with the User Experience team to design best in class website navigation structure to ensure visibility and access to key categories
  • Review and share trading performance with teams across the business including:
  1. Sales, conversion, average order value and bounce rate across key areas of the site and app
  • Review and share market and competitor information
  1. Track and document competitor trading and marketing activity (new ranges, homepage promotions, email, campaigns, promotional etc)
  2. New or enhanced digital experiences
  3. Market activity / new entrants
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven skills and success in merchandising role in a retail business
  • Has created and implemented merchandising processes in a new team
  • Good understanding of digital merchandising principles and consumer buying behaviour
  • Commercially driven and sales orientated
  • Analytical and with good reporting skills
  • Good knowledge of web analytics solutions (Google), Excel and Powerpoint
  • Exceptional eye to detail (creative, content)
  • An interest in digital / ecommerce technology and digital trends
  • A fun and creative person
