Do you enjoy working in a tight knit teamOur client, a family run business, are at the forefront of their industry within IT and telecommunications. They are currently recruiting for a permanent fulltime position for a stock controller. Responsibilities include:Control Company’s stock to achieve optimum product availability within budgetary guidelinesSchedule stock requirements in line with the Company’s stocking policy using the Sage computer system as the basis of decision makingGenerate and place purchase orders on approved suppliers via use of the Min Max reportExpedite the timely delivery of purchase orders placed on suppliers and update the computer system to reflect the expected deliveryLiaise with suppliers to obtain sources, prices and delivery for products arising from enquiries from the sales departmentSuggest opportunities to reduce costs through recommending the most reliable and lowest cost sources of supplyIdentify and agree the return of excess or obsolete/redundant products to suppliersMaintain accurately all data and records under your control including cost prices, stock model indicator (e.g. XX), preferred supplier, min/max levels, lead times, minimum order quantities, multipliers and carriage paid order levels and approved supplier statusEnsure correct allocation and set up on the computer system of part numbersExplore internally and with suppliers’ methods to reduce trading costs and improve the efficiency and effectiveness from order placement to their supply to the end customerSuggest obsolete items for sale and set selling prices using Company eBay and Amazon accounts & web clearanceAssist with stock checks by supplying the warehouse with reports and data to achieve stock accuracyAssist in receiving sales calls (last phone pick-up)Quotation support when requiredAchieve response times to sales dept. enquiries for price and delivery within 4 hours of receipt of requestsSourcing new products as requiredMaintain and control the Fremco asset listBack-order report to be run and fully actioned on a daily basisMaintain correct levels of Stationary and non-stock itemsWork with the accounts department to resolve any invoices queriesCreate and maintain stock of BOM itemsPerson / Experience RequiredKnowledge of products and sources of supply for commonly used business itemsKnowledge of supply and inventory systemsExcellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsComputer literate with excel skills and numeracyPlease note:As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.Should you not hear from us within a week, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.In line with GDPR regulations, we are making you aware that to proceed with your application we will need to contact you via email, telephone and/or text message.
