The role will require you to teach core subjects such as English and Maths as well as PSHE, Knowledge of the Worldand Independent Living Skills to students in KS3 & KS4 who have Learning Difficulties such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Severe Learning Difficulties. You will need to plan and deliver lessons that are stimulating and will engage the students with theirlearning. Due to the needs of the students the ideal SEN Teacher will need to have experience working with children or young people who have been diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum and have challenging behaviour. You will also be provided with additionalsupport from TAs in the classroom.SEN School - SEN Teacher This thriving ASD school is located in Uxbridge and caters for students aged between 4-19 years old with Special Educational Needs such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school is very small and has around 210 students therefore, class sizes varyfrom 8-10 pupils along with 2 teaching assistants in class.
