Job Description

Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to recruit a number of 40/20Hours Ambulance Care Assistants in an around the North London area.About the Role:As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you must be committed to the highest level of patient care, with strong communications skills and an understanding of patient needs and abilities. No previous experience is necessary in this field however some customer care experience is preferable.You will find that no two shifts will be the same. They could be transferring patients to out patient appointments, a sick child to a specialist centre or attending first aid cases at an event.ACAs accompany a range of ambulance vehicles under normal road conditions and carry out checks to vehicles at the start of and during each shift, to make sure they are clean, have fuel and are appropriately stocked.You will receive training to use the medical and life support equipment carried on vehicles that is appropriate to their skill level, and how to assist other clinically trained staff.A key responsibility of the ACA is to make sure that equipment is carefully stored, transported and cared for so that it is always in good working order.

  • An up to date CPR/BLS qualification
