Prospero are currently working with an established provider of adult social care in Devon who are looking for a Registered Nurse for one of their flagship homes.The Registered Nurse will have all clinical responsibilities within the home to ensure residents are cared for and safe. The Registered Nurse will be fully clinically competent, however, refresher training and ongoing development is available. The Registered Nurse will be a professional and proactive person who puts the needs of their residents first and has a genuine passion for elderly care.In return the provider offers progression within the company and a great supportive environment. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is looking to be a part of local company who are genuinely supportive and ensure care is at the centre of their mission.Required:-Registered Nurse (Active PIN)-Genuine interest in working within a caring environment-Ability to communicate appropriately, effectively and sensitively with staff-Demonstrate leadership qualities to manage a teamClinical:-Administer any medication as prescribed-Have knowledge on how to operate equipment within the home -Understand emergency procedures -Assess mental and physical well being of residents appropriately-Liaise with clients, staff, GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote good care-Monitors care and re-assess as appropriate highlighting gaps in care provision-Stay up to date with new nursing practice and implement this into your working-Evidence based care as highlighted by multidisciplinary team-Provide end of life care -Ensure privacy and dignity is upheld at all times-Ensure the death of a patient is managed properly and with respect-Undertake holistic assessment for residents within the home-Monitor clients hygiene and self-care-Promote the health and empowerment -Ensures accurate, timely and detailed communication with all team membersPlease apply or get in touch for more information about this position, please also enquire if you are in seeking employment in a different location as we cover the South West of the UK.
