Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team and grow along with the business. Developing and perfecting your craft withinour diverse team who have industry accreditation will ensure your professional progress within this evolving sector. You will produce quotations and pre-installation design services including Solar PV, Battery Storage, and energy monitoring solutions.We pride ourselves on delivering renewable energy solutions to new and established clients over many industries spanning the UK. The future of Renewable Energy is bright. Now is the time to start your career journey and get involved!Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing design drawings and calculations to suit customer requirements.
  • Prepare customer quotations and costings.
  • Build and maintain relationship with suppliers.
  • Project planning for larger projects
  • Preparing contract technical submissions from inception to working contract handover.
Requirements:
  • Preferred HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to use PV Sol design software in the production of commercial solar designs.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD in producing pre-installation and As-fitted drawings
  • Produce quotations using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understand scope of work, specifications, programmes and cost control of tender documents.
  • An understanding of specifications and drawings.
  • Understanding of the contract and contract conditions and obligations
  • Ability to survey and report on existing buildings.
  • An understanding of current Building Regulations, Codes of Practice and Legislative Requirements
  • Ability to check drawings for accuracy and build ability.
  • Seek advice from specialists as required.
  • Maintain manual or computerised filing systems
