Job Description

Summary You’ll lead by example to create a warm, professional welcome to our visitors. You’ll inspire the team to seize every opportunity to engage with our supporters and grow our charitable income - from promoting membership and low level giving, togift aid and direct debit schemes. You’ll share the stories of our conservation work, while creating meaningful moments for new and existing supporters and you’ll work with the Welcome Manager to lead your team to achieve key fundraising and membership targets. What its like to work here The 70-strong team at this spectacular Victorian gothic house have ambitious plans for growth over the next few years. Tyntesfield’s excellent location just outside of Bristol means there is great scope to develop the visitor experience to this vast estate,and the team are encouraged to be forward thinking and creative in their approach. There is a strong sustainability focus at the property with working kitchen gardens that produce delicious produce for the café and restaurant.For more information about our property please visit tyntesfield What youll be doing Youll have responsibility for helping to run the day to day operation of the welcome area and ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using sound judgement and decision making, in line with NationalTrust guidelines and policies.You’ll be using your creativity and communication skills both to inspire and motivate your staff and volunteers, and to help provide the friendly face of the National Trust to thousands of visitors. Who were looking for

  • Good practical experience in visitor business, in tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment
  • Naturally curious about people, and with a passion to and experience of delivering the highest standards of customer service
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident leader, adaptable and responsive under pressure
  • Ability to initiate service recovery without senior support
  • Good IT skills (all MS Office)
