Job Description

CareworkersRichmondHolistic Community Care - One of the most well-established homecare companies in the UK.Providing thousands of hours of care services every week across London.We are creating a team of salaried, high-calibre, experienced careworkers on six-month fixed term contracts to provide care services in the London Borough of Richmond.You will be responsible for the provision of a range of care and support services to clients in their own homes. This role is primarily open to those with experience. Most importantly, you will be empathetic, with a genuine interest in the care of clients.Responsibilities

  • To visit nominated clients, at times directed by the care management team
  • Assisting clients with personal care, toileting, grooming, bathing, (un)dressing, feeding etc.
  • To prompt the taking of any medications prescribed for the client
  • Where directed, maintain cleanliness of clients’ homes
  • Prepare or reheat meals provided to clients
  • To enable and/or assist individuals to remain in the community, to be supported and maintained safely in their own homes and thereby enhance their quality of life
  • To encourage your client’s individuality and independence
  • Develop and maintain personal contact with the client through talking and listening
  • To undertake basic day-to-day factual written recording as required of individual care plans
  • Providing social contact, especially for clients who live alone
    • The ideal candidates will have:
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • A real desire to work as a careworker and have a caring nature
  • Availability to work weekends, when required, according to the team’s shift patterns
  • A sensitive and tactful approach
  • A natural desire to help improve clients’ lives
  • Patience, empathy and a good sense of humour
  • To remain calm and focused, even when under pressure
    • In return we offer:
  • Great rates of SALARIED pay - £20,000 per annum pro-rata

  • Six-month fixed-term employment contracts (which may be extended). Contract hours are 7am - 2pm, 2pm - 9pm
