Job Description

Outdoor Learning Teaching Assistant Location- Northfield, BirminghamDaily Rate- £85-£100Start Date- ASAPDays- Monday to FridayHours- 8:30am to 3:30pmTerm time only| Supportive SLT & SENCO| Ofsted Rated Good |Opportunity to Learn OutdoorsLTF Recruitment are looking for a caring and nurturing SEN teaching assistant to work in our Primary school in the Northfield area. This role will involve working on a 1-1 basis with children in Early years with Complex Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech Languageand Communication needs.The Role:The school aims to develop its students as individuals with the use of outdoor learning and therapeutic intervention. Pupils are given the freedom that the grounds of the school provide and are supported by at least one supporting member of staff. This roleis offered on a long-term basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the successful candidate.The Ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience working in a school environment or nursery environment
  • Happy to work in outdoors in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Has experience supporting children 1:1 or 2:1 or in small groups.
  • Has experience or knowledge of supporting child/children with ASD, SLCN, non verbal
  • Understanding of EYFS framework
  • Has TA qualifications or relevant degree
  • Can work as part of a team.
