We provide a portfolio of IT services to NHS organizations across the Staffordshire and Shropshire health economy.We are looking to expand our Operational Development team and are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience working within a busy desktop IT support role. The Operational Development Engineers are responsible for the design, testing and deploymentof new systems, technologies & solutions, alongside day to day business operations including Problem, Change and Release Management. Experience supporting Microsoft System Center products on a Windows domain is essential.Interaction with our other support teams is vital, to quickly identify common faults, provide workarounds and develop resolutions where required. This role therefore requires technical ability, a positive can-do attitude, and a good eye for problem solvingdue to the variety and complexity of daily tasks.This role will suit IT Support professionals who would like to expand on their already proven desktop support skills. Our service is highly professional and we are proud to have achieved ISO 27001 accreditation which we aim to extend and increase. We arecommitted to maintaining a high standard of service and back this up with training (e.g. ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, SCCM) and support (e.g. personal development plans, talent management). The experiences gained though this role will provide excellent opportunitiesfor further career progression into technical, project and supervisory management roles.The role will be primarily based at Trentham, in North Staffordshire, however there will be requirements to complete onsite working from any of our customer locations, sometimes using your own vehicle as transport. Corporate vehicles are also used withinthis post and therefore a full UK Category B driving license is required.In a recent staff survey, the top three words to describe our service are: friendly, supportive and hard-working. We have specifically developed our staff structure to provide both excellent service to support clinical services as well as offering a clearcareer path for those who want a career in NHS IT.The post falls within the NHS AFC pay structure, with a starting salary of £25,655, and annual increments up to £31,534.
