Job Description

Senior Web DeveloperOne of the fastest growing digital agencies in the North West, we are on the lookout for a senior/full stack developer to become a part of our talented team and support the ongoing expansion of the web development department. This role will be vital in deliveringoutstanding web solutions to our clients, whilst giving you the opportunity to shape the skillset and development of our development team. You will take wholesale ownership of crafting and putting into practice web development techniques for the clients allocatedto you and to assist the other members of the team on theirs, in addition to the development of our own web assets.Your skills and experience

  • 2-3+ years of web development at a senior level
Technically fluent in both front and backend development, HTML, CSS, ideally raw PHP/Laravel, React plus CMS-based PHP (WordPress, Drupal, Magento), Java/Node/Angular.JS, SQL.
  • A keen eye for development on both mobile and desktop devices, including UX elements and site speed manipulations
  • The ability to mentor other members of the team in all aspects of code development while also working as an integral part of the team
  • A keen eye for quality control, identifying site errors with the ability to provide out of the box ways of thinking
  • Understanding and implementation of web security and data protection
  • Work in both waterfall and agile methods with all relevant colleagues across the business, both digital and out of home advertising
  • The drive to lead the department technically and propose new working methods and tools to enhance productivity and new age thinking
  • Strong time and priority management techniques, working in collaboration with the digital project management team
  • Strong, working understanding of server-side languages and experience dealing with the setup and implementation of new domains, SSL certificates, email and FTP setup, including overall server management and maintenance
  • An understanding of best practices when building websites that consider SEO (technical on-page), PPC landing pages & ecommerce platforms
  • Ideally you will have at least 1-2 years of experience agency-side, though this is not a prerequisite.
Your responsibilities
  • Design overall architecture of the web projects and applications
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of web projects and applications
  • Collaborate with and guide the rest of the development team to design and launch new features
  • Maintain code integrity and organisation
  • Work with graphic designers and convert designs into functional output
  • Implement security and data protection on all sites where required
  • Management of code versioning tools {such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}
  • Ensuring quality control of all web solutions we create
  • Undertaking frequent personal development research and advancement techniques to further your own and the companys expertise and commercial offerings.
