First Choice Staff Manchester is working on an exclusive basis with a well-established global logistics provider; seeking for Airfreight Courier Ops Agents based at Trafford Park. This is a Temp to Perm (TTP) contract. If you have the aptitude to show your own initiative and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the rewarding role for you!Duties:Handling internal & external customer callsDealing with customer enquiries, problem solving and responding to ad-hoc situationsin accordance with company proceduresAirfreight Courier Imports/Exports, track & trace of inbound/export shipmentsDealing with 3rd party suppliers/subcontractors regards POD’sUpdating customer on a regular basis with the status of their shipmentsEnsure the redistribution is dealt with in accordance to global standardsDealing from small to up to pallet size shipmentsCovering the reception and dealing with return consignmentsOn a daily basis, completing data entry, shipment processing & completion of various office reportsRepresent the company in a professional and efficient manner at all times - Face to face, by phone and written correspondenceAdhere to company Health and Safety legislationAssisting with other administrative and operational tasks, as and when requiredKey skills and requirements:Excellent communication and organisational skillsIT Conversant with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPointNumerical aptitude, flexible and able to meet industry’s requirementsAble to use initiative and take responsibility where appropriateEnthusiastic, on the go and great team playerAs per DfT/CAA legislation 5 years referencing - RequiredCRB Check/Basic Disclosure - RequiredCargo Operative Certificate would be an advantage but not essentialAll applicants must be eligible to work within the UKAdditional:Contracted - Mon - Fri 11:00 to 20:00 with one-hour unpaid lunchRate of pay per hour: £11.78-£14.50
