Job Description

The RoleThis role is integral to ensuring our customer requirements and production deadlines are met and to the highest quality standards. We seek a positive and highly motivated individual, to work as an integral member of our production team.International Timber is the largest supplier and distributor of sustainable timber and panel products in the UK. Wespecialise in the import, processing and distribution of Softwoods, Hardwoods, Clear softwoods, Engineered timber,Panel products and Cladding & Decking. Our products are sourced from around the world to offer our customersthroughout the UK excellent choice, value, availability and service. The company is part of the Stark GroupBased: Manchester, Trafford ParkDuties to include, but not limited to:

  • Operating a variety of woodworking machinery
  • operation of a Multi headed moulding machine
  • Adherence to EHS standards by ensuring; work area is kept tidy, work area is cleaned daily, machinery is rigorously maintained
Suitable applicants will ideally be/have:
  • You should have some customer service experience. If you know what great services like, sounds like and feels like. Thats important to us.
  • Proven experience in a timber mill
  • Proven ability to operate machinery, setting the correct specifications with minimal supervision
  • Relevant woodwork machinery qualification
  • Holding an FLT licence would be advantageous
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • The ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Prior use of an edge bander, glue press and CNC (Desirable)
Schedule:
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
