Contracts Manager- Groundworks, Civils & Demolition£75,000 - £90,000 (Salary Negotiable DoE) + Car / AllowanceManchesterAbout the companyMy client is a family business and have been trading for over 50 years and specialise in in civil engineering, bulk earthworks, remediation, complex demolition and deconstruction, sustainable disposal and aggregate supply and a new minor construction worksdivision. They boast an extensive in-house fleet of modern, fully maintained high-tech plant and machinery and a directly employed team of industry experts.Job Summary:The client is looking for an experienced and motivated Contracts Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple sites and planning and co-ordination of their schemes and be the main escalation point for the client/operativesand management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation of works whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and welfare of operatives, and for supporting the successful completion of works within agreed timescales,budgets, and standards.Responsibilities:· Assisting the Regional Operations Manager with the day-to-day organisation of resources.· Taking ownership of Contracts and planning the safe delivery of the scheme.· Providing support to the Contracts Supervisors and assisting them in their delivery of schemes.· Reviewing Operatives Progress/ Site Diaries and Signing off Timesheets.· Attending client meetings.· Line Manager duties: Appraisals, Pay Reviews, Confidential Discussions, Team development, Disciplinaries, Interviews.· Liaising with the on-site teams to update progress reports and feed the resource requirements into the Programme.· Flagging up additional works with the client and raising Early Warnings/ preparing the information for the Commercial team.· Writing RAMS and preparing Health & Safety documentation. Ensuring the H&S procedures within the RAMS are then implemented on site.· Checking the material orders with the Procurement team and organising their deliveries to sites.· Document control. Comparing latest revision drawings against the tender documents and submitting the change in works information to the commercial team.· Briefing Toolbox Talks and carrying out Site Safety Audits.Requirements:· Updated knowledge of groundworks and civils· Updated knowledge of Remediation· Knowledge of Demolition Works would be advantageous· Great at prioritising effectively, and able to deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines.· Experience in contract negotiation· Exceptional written and spoken English skills· Exceptional math skills· Self-motivated personality· Attention to detail· Organisation and time management skillsWhy You Should Apply:
