First Choice Staff Manchester is currently recruiting on behalf of a Worldwide Freight Forwarder Specialist an experienced Airfreight Import Agent (Freight Forwarding), fully conversant in airfreight operations and procedures -Freight Forwarding.Duties/responsibilities:Covering all aspects of Airfreight imports operations Ensuring the department process and expedite customers orders/ deliveries are per client requirementsEnsure freight quotations are issued in a timely mannerGeneral liaison with other Agents, airlines, hauliers and 3rd party logisticsHandling all Customs operational procedures for Importing AirfreightAir Import Customs Clearance -EntriesEnsure Customs Tariffs are fully up to dateFully compliant in all import proceduresAssisting the Airfreight Import Manager with other duties as when neededSkills/Requirements:Previous experience in Airfreight Import Operational cycle -EssentialAirfreight Import customs entries-Essential ERTS Bonded Warehouse Management experience -advantageous Be a team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative, meeting tight deadlines.Be well organized and have attention to detailPossess excellent communication skills, written and verbalFlexible, friendly and have an enthusiastic attitude toward colleagues, customers and workCustomer orientated in order to maintain a high level of servicePosition: PermanentAdditional benefits: +++++++ to be discussed at interview stagePlease note: We are only able to accept applications from candidates with previous experience for this role.
