Job Description

Salary: £25,000Location: Tottenham (Foundation)Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is a registered charity and is the community arm of Premier League football club, Tottenham Hotspur, who currently stand at number 10 in the World Football Rankings (as per Footballdatabase.com).The Club, through the Foundation, seeks to use the power and attraction of football to reach into its local communities to provide opportunities that can transform their lives, especially children and young people.The Foundation is based at the recently restored 18th century Percy House in Tottenham High Road and is part of the Clubs new stadium complex. It is driven by a passion to contribute to making a positive difference to and in the area where, despite thesignificant socio-economic challenges, there is a vibrancy and richness of talent and no shortage of ambition. The Foundation harnesses and builds on this through a range of projects and initiatives to pursue, achieve and sustain the desired impacts and outcomes.It does this utilising its unique relationship with Spurs to deliver services and to co-invest with like-minded partners from the private, not-for-profit, and public sectors, to achieve the public benefit that accords with our charitable aims and objectives.Through our strong links with local educators, employers, and government, we work with local residence who are Not in Employment, Education or Training, helping them to develop, gain qualifications and progress on to apprenticeship schemes and accessibleroutes to employment and education. You will have the confidence to drive forward complex projects and be passionate about supporting learners and helping them progress into learning and work.Tottenham Hotspur Foundation welcomes applications from anyone regardless of age, disability, race, colour or ethnic and national origins, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.The purpose of this role is to provide job coaching support to young people aged 16 to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with the aim to develop their skills, qualities, and aspirations to gain full time employment. Job coachingis delivered through 1-2-1 sessions and groups with a person-centred focus.Key Responsibilities

  • Support project participants with SEND to develop their employability skills by learning on the job skills through work rotations across different departments in our host business (North Middlesex Hospital).
  • Support students throughout work rotations, increasing employers understanding of reasonable adjustments in the workplace for SEND individuals.
  • Develop positive relationships with project participants through 1-2-1 and group mentoring.
  • Work in collaboration with host business staff, and contractor staff (CONEL) to support the project participants to access their work placements.
  • Support participants to access and apply for employment opportunities as they progress through the project through CV building, interview preparation and opportunity finding.
  • Work collaboratively with project partners to ensure positive outcomes for project participants to progress into employment after graduating from Project SEARCH.
  • Track progress of project participants using written and visual reporting.
  • Attend regular project steering group meetings to provide updates on progress of students.
  • Ensure that all data and reporting is collected across the project to demonstrate the impact of delivery.
  • Champion and act in line with the Foundations commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and adults.
  • Perform all responsibilities in line with legislative guidance and Club/Foundation policy on safeguarding, safer-working and ED&I practices.

  • Demonstrable experience of working with a range of monitoring and evaluation systems

DESIRABLE
  • Two years experience of providing job coaching to adults and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • A sound understanding of the Project SEARCH model
