Job Description

Title: Civil EngineerLocation: TorpointSalary: £50,000Contract type: Fixed Term 2-year contractAstra Recruitment are working with one of our clients to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their team in Gosport.For this role you will be ensuring that work Is executed on time and to budget/ estimates and in full compliance with company standards as well as UK legislation.This role will involve responsibility for a number of Civil Engineering activities within projects or engineering works at any one time, you will be overseeing professional contract engineers. You will need to be able to build strong credible relationships with all internal stakeholders.Job duties will include:

  • Promote process safety leadership
  • Ensure projects are completed and are fully compliant with company policies
  • Manage staff time and resources to ensure a well controlled, compliant with WTR environment
  • Plan and manage the programme of works for Civil Engineering Projects in line with company standards
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for programme of work
  • Liaise with other members of technical team standards and codes
  • Produce programme of works
    • Your skills and experience will include:
  • Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC and CDM regulations
  • Experience of MAH environments
  • Able to build strong relationships
  • Knowledge of budgets and forecasts
  • Experience managing multiple site works
  • Experience working within MAH environments
