Job Description

Civil Engineering / Construction Administrator RGB are delighted to be supporting an International Tier 1 Civil Engineering Main Contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced administrator to join their Project office in Torpoint.The purpose of the role is to provide general administrative support to the Project Director and team in a number or duties. This role is initially for 12 months but also has the opportunity to lead into a Document Controller role for someone that is lookingto progress or has some experience within Document Control would be advantageous.This role would require you to be on site in Torpoint without the option of homeworking so its essential that you are happy to drive or catch the ferry but the travel costs will be covered. They are open to discussing reduced hours or working reduced days to support applicants with family or childcare commitments.Responsibilities include:Contribute to the smooth running of the office, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting the payroll team using in-house systems
  • Answering the telephone in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Open, distributing and dealing with any post and taking deliveries to the post office
  • Keep a diary of meetings, training sessions, review dates etc as required to assist managers.
  • Use Outlook to send and collate e-mails as requested by Contract Managers.
  • Type letters, reports etc.
  • Administration support for the contract/ office Team.
  • Amenable to complete general ad-hoc duties when requested by the Project Director
Skills:
  • Knowledge of Document Management systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organiser and collaborative working essential.
